Jumped the tracks steering problems.....

i just jumped the tracks and my car immediately had trouble turning, it still runs but at low speeds its really really hard to turn the steering wheel, whenever i speed up the steering seems to improve, would a tire alignment be the most probably cause to the increased difficulty in turning?
