My 95 chevy blazer idles badly, sounds like 2 cylinders are running.

My 95 chevy blazer (6 cylinder S10) idles badly,(again    2 years later..same problem) sounds like 2 cylinders are running, and occassionally will not stay idling(pulling up to a toll)runs fine when not in idling. Had this problem before......after jamming the pedal and letting off a few times down the road, it seemed to work itself out.(possibly carbon) I am told it is a vacuum problem, and there may be a small piece of carbon or dirt in a valve. I was told what valve it is but cannot remember the valve ( rcv,rfv ???)nor can I find it or the problem. I have disconnected vacuum hoses in an attempt to bypass this valve and none seemed to help the problem, I may not have found the correct one.   Any help or advice, or am I batting in the wind??

Have u tried any injector cleaner? Alot of times the injector cleaner will clean this type of problem up. For the first few minutes of driving the engine needs alot of gas and the injector pulse width is at its greatest. This is where a problem will arise if any. There are two ways injector cleaner works. 1 put in the gas tank and let it run through the whole system. It willl clear the fuel filter strainer in the tank, the external fuel filter the lines and last the injectors as it enters the engine. (This may take a few days). Or 2, hook it up to manifold vaccum (a vaccum hose) and let the vaccum suck it in the engine. There is a special tool that is used for this and is rec strongly. (But if u are carefull one can accomplish this without a special tool). This method of entering the engine through vaccum cleans the back on the valve extremly well. The back of the valve is where the carbon builds up and when the injector sprays the gas will get absorbed in the carbon instead of going in the cylinder. This will then cause a performacne issue. Both of the methods are very important will work very well and both will definately help on gas miledge!
