My 1999 Ford Taurus usually works perfectly, but there are ...

My 1999 Ford Taurus usually works perfectly, but there are random times when it won't start. It just clicks when I turn the ignition. I still have power to lights, radio, etc. although the power usually goes off for a few seconds after I have tried to start it.   I have replaced the starter and colonoid and that is not the problem. The battery and cables have been tested as good. I have also tested all the fuses and relays. Sometimes if I just wiggle the battery cables around it will start up. But sometimes it won't start up at all. We thought there might be a short but could not find a bare wire. We were getting charge off of the car frame.

Most recently as I was driving down the freeway the car started puttering and wouldn’t accelerate well and the AC stopped working. I pulled over to check things out and while the car was idling it would randomly rev slightly on its own. It seems to be an electrical problem, but we can’t pin point it.

Greetings!
sounds like u have a bad starter. An intermitant starter will work sometimes, all of a sudden not work, then start working again. U will need to catch it when it is not working and make sure u have batt voltage on both terminals when cranking. If batt voltage is present and the starter is not working, then the starter is bad and will need to be replaced!

Sorry, I told you in the message that I have already replaced the starter and I have a new battery and cables in place. Not only did I try putting a new starter in, but I had the existing one tested and it was in perfect condition.

P.S. How do I get my deposit back?
