oil light is on

I have a 2002 dodge Intrepid SE4S,the ckeck eng oil light comes on and some time it stay on but the oil level is find and about a week now its been grinding nosie coming form the eng. The eng seam to be running good. I think it is ether the water pump or the oil pump.
