I have a 1995 Chevy S10 Blazer. I am having a problem with passing emissions. It is getting to much fuel. I was told that I needed to place the "spider" in the fuel injection. I have tried to find this part and can not. Is there another name? Also, once the vehicle has been running and you turn it off it will not restart for a while.

It is the series of lines located under the upper intake that goes from the central injector unit out to each cylinder you probably have a poppet valve sticking allowing to much fuel into the cylinder. This will aslo cause a flodded condition.

here is a diagram of the system.

Item #8 the cpi unit is the complete injection unit with the lines and poppet valves. It is replaced as a assembly.

I would remove the upper intake and inspect the system for leaks I have seen the supply lines where they attach to the cpi unit leak and cause this if it looks ok then the cpi unit will need replaced.
