What problem are you trying to fix? Wont blow cold wont shift from hot to cold ? no air coming from defrost?

There are a couple of vacuum lines but most off the a/c controls have electric motors that change the modes.

If you tell me what is wrong I can help.

OK this problem is vacuum. A few questions.

1. is the system manual ac or automatic climate control?

2. Is the vehicle 4x4?

Sorry my INTERNET went down.

The vacuum bottle is directly under the engine air filter housing. It is tuck into the fender a little. You will have to start at the engine and follow all the vacuum line to the canister and from the canister to where it goes the the firewall to the inside. Also this vacuum system supplies the needed vacuum for the four wheel drive system. We have a smoke machine that we use to introduce smoke into the vacuum system under light pressure where the smoke comes out is where the leak is. You can visually inspect all the lines and take for holes or cuts (rodent like to chew on the lines also. The check valve is almost impossible to reach under the Heater/ evaporator box. I have yet to replace a check valve or vacuum canister on one of these vehicles. I have always found a hose lose, disconnected or damaged. They will have to be thoroughly inspected.

If it happened after the bearings were replaced I would take it back to them and have them see if they knocked lose or broke a line. There are a lot of vacuum lines but you could try to follow them and inspect for damage, however a properly equipped shop could find the problem much easier. This could be hard to locate the leak , unless the shop that did the bearings knocked something loose.

I do not think it is a problem under the dash. I believe they will find a vacuum leak in the engine compartment.

Honestly I would take it to the dealer for this problem. We know the systems better than anyone. There are some good independents but if you pay them and they don't fix it then you have to pay the dealer again.
