I have a 95' Toyota Celica GT with the 5S-FE 2200 engine, 5 speed transmission. I am having hesitation and surging kick in about the 3000rpm area? Any ideas or suggestionto repair?

The first thing that should be checked are the fuel and air filters. Also the distributor cap has a resister built into it that can break down. The plugs and wires could also cause the problem.

If you know that these components are in good condition, then a fuel pressure and volume test should be performed. A check for codes if the engine light has come on should be done. Also check the timing.
