REPLIED Check Mark

It is dependant on the location of the leak. If the leak is from a line union from on of the injectors, it may only need to be tightened, or a line replaced. If it is from the prime connector, there are some components that can be replaced. If it is from the body of the injection pump, an overhaul may be neccessary. You might option for a good used injection pump, since they are vey reliable, and having a leak at the pump body itself is uncommon.

It seems to be coming from the rear of the pump looks like a gasket. If i take the pump off so i can get to the gasket is there a possibility of getting the pump out of timing or if i don't turn the engine should it go back just like it came off

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You can attempt to remove the pump and mark it exactly as it comes out. Although there may be a timming issue when your completed, when the pump is removed there are three gears that line up internally; and in any case the correct timming should be set, to be positive. If you can access the bolts holding the rear cover on,without removing the pump; you may attempt to tighten them. If you need the procedures on how to time after completing the job, let me know.
