I have a 98 Chevy Malibu that keeps blowing a fuse on the fuse block under the hood. The fuse that keeps blowing is a red, 10A mini fuse, that (according to the owners manual), "Air conditioning compressor, Body function control module". When i put in a new fuse, the A/C will kick on and run for only a couple of minutes before blowing the fuse. I checked the wireharness that plugs into the compressor, the contacts look great. I also checked the plugs going into the BCM which also look great. Any ideas on what the source of the trouble is??? Could the A/C clutch be the culprit? BCM? I ALSO assume it could be a ground wire. Any idea where the A/C compressor ground could be??
VERY hot in Indiana right now!!
Thanks,
Rich
