Cooling fan stays on and does not shut off even when car is on. This problem has cause my battery to die. How to fix to problem?

Hello

This is if fan still remains on after engine has cooled somewhat.

The first thing to check would be the relay, it may be internally shorted. Under the hood find the main fuse block. Look for the fan relay. If fan is still on remove relay, and pay attention if the relay clicks when removed.
