1998 chev. suburban with rear air.replaced compressor it ...

1998 chev. suburban with rear air.replaced compressor it was leaking dryer and orfice tube added about 6 oz. oil it was nice and cold . compressor was defective.1 weeklater replaced it. but only added 1oz. of oil in fear of to much oil. front nice and cold but rear not. could i be low on oil. does the compreesor trap that much oil.
