I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.2 L engine. The A/C has 207,000 miles of use on it. The clutch has started sticking, in which case the fan blows warm air. I checked the pressure on the low side and it was over 40, so I didn't add any refrigerant. When I get out and observe the A/C, the clutch is simply not turning. I take a long screwdriver and pry out on the clutch. This physically engages the clutch and the A/C begins working. Is my compressor going to have to be replaced or can I adjust the clutch? I will be trying to work on it while waiting on your answer. My email address is XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX and my name is Roland. Thank you for your time.
