i have a 92 olds cutless, i repaced the fuel pump with an after market one and everthing has been ok for a couple months now. This morning it runs but the fuel pump shuts off when i give it gas. It will idle but dies if the gas is pressed.

Are you certain that pressing the gas pedal causes the fuel pump to turn off?
