Hi there, I am trying to change out the battery on my Lincoln Mark VIII - I loosened both top connectuions but it will not come out - is there an other fastening device on this model that has to be losened before I can remove the battery????

Already Tried:
I loosened both connectors t the battery and tried to lift the battery out but it is not moving - is there another set of screws to open on this model before the battery can be lifted out?

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
    Disconnect the battery to starter relay cable.
    Remove the battery heat shield.
    Remove the battery hold down clamp.
    Images available only to Customers.


    Remove the battery.
