I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 4x4 318 CI / 46 RE auto trans. 90,000 miles. For some time I have had a shift problem from 1st to second. It always hesitates or is sluggish to go into 2nd gear. If traveling at speed, acceleration will cause it to jump down into first gear, over-revving the engine (above redline). I have serviced the trans. per specs, and recently replaced the pressure sensors inside the transmission. I have checked the throttle valve cable for proper adjustment, and cannot find any cause for this. Any ideas?
