Sent to Car Experts June 25, 2006 3:35 p.m.

I have a 1999 Chevy Malibu that clicks (turn signal click) from the dash intermittently. The turn signals and hazard lights work properly, but the clicking is driving me crazy. I've already replaced the hazard switch which didn't fix the problem and now I've purchased a used turn signal switch assembly and am going to try to replace it. I have two questions. First, what steps and tools are required to remove and replace the turn signal switch assembly on my vehicle. Second, if this doesn't fix the problem, is there any other likely culprits that could be causing the problem?

Optional Information:

You should only need some torx bits to change it.They are fairly easy and if you have already changed the flasher/hazard switch assembly I can't think of anything else that would cause it to click like that.Disconnect the battery or pull the sir fuse for 20 seconds before you start that will disable the sir system.
