Clunking noise after a full and complete stop after I release the brake pedal. I can feel a couple of thumps simultaneaoulsy as I move my foot off of the pedal. It happens every 2 out of 5 stops. The tranny is not slipping when I accelerate or slow down...the noise only happens when I release my foot from the pedal.Thanks.

Optional Information:

ACCEPTEDCheck Mark

I would have the front suspention, evaluated. It may be a worn ball joint, or tie-rod. To correctly inspect the tie-rod, the tire should be off the ground, and checked for side-to-side movement as well as lateral. The lower arm connection points to the subframe can also cause this type of noise. Although you've already inspected it, it is more common for it to be front brake components, such as the brake pad hardware on the slides.

Reply to RIP's Post: Thanks. Now if the noise came from the rear what could that be?
EDIT-Also what about debris in the brake calipers or system. I did hit a tumble weed and after that is when I noticed the noise. The weed just flew accross the road and I could't avoid it and I hit it on the driver side...I know if sounds funny, but that's what happened.
