Ok That was the correct sensor. The reason it works with A/C on is it has a seperate high speed relay that the a/c controls. Go to the cooling fan relay. The green /yellow wire comes from the relay & go to the fan. that's pin 5 on the relay. The red wire comes out of auxiliary fusebox and goes to pin 3 at the relay. The green/blue wire comes from the computer and goes to pin 1. It should have 12v with the key on. The black wire comes from ground and goes to pin 7 at the relay. The black /blue wire comes from the computer and goes to pin 6 at the relay. It provides a ground to complete the control circuit. When the temp. sensor reaches around 107C the computer completes circuit to ground at pin 6 Check all the voltages at the relay. Pin 1 12v key on, Pin 7 goes to ground, pin 6 goes to ground when temp. is over 107C. Pin 5 12v, pin 3 12v when fan commanded on. A simple test is jump pin 6 to ground at the relay. THE FAN SHOULD COME ON. Hope this helps out. Please accept my answer if you are satisfied Thanks 32dmadden

Reply to 32dmadden's Post: This was a good answer and it helped me fix my problem I found some bare wires at the sensor and the relay seemed to be loose, anyway it works now, but gauge reads abit hi when the fan comes on.

Thank you, I have accepted the answer and if you can help me through the problem I mentioned in the original text it will be worth another $15

For the low RPM I would try a fuel system cleaning. This includes the throttle body, fuel injectors, fuel filter(if it hasn't been replaced lately). Also the idle air control motor & system need to be checked out. And cleaned. And of course the ignition (plugs, wires, coils, module). Most of the time the ignition problems will give a missing condition, but some times it just won't spark at all leaving a dead or not running cyl. Sometimes just at idle, as RPMs rise it will start firing again. Check and make sure you don't have a dead cyl. at idle. Well that's all I can think of now. Let me know if you need any thing else. Thanks 32dmadden
