Car Starters

Question....hopefully someone can help. I recently had a remote starter installed on my 2003 Chevy S-10 P/U. I've been having an issue with the right side door lock opening and locking intermittently. Sometimes it will go half way down, other times just weakly click..and again, sometimes nothing. My drivers side and tailgate locks always work. I've had the truck to the install shop and Chevrolet dealer 5 times between them and another time at a local shop. The local shop tried untaping some connections on the remote module and retaping, then shook the module; whereas the truck started. They say this isn't normal. I'm not sure how these work and are installed, but I've learned there is only one area where electricity is shot down the 2 lines; to open and to close. Could the module, in any way, be defective? I have both shops blaming each other.
