Yes this vehicle does have plugs, in fact it has (2) for each cylinder, for a total of (12) for the engine. The plugs are located just below the coil packs for each cylinder. The coil packs are the large square shaped units mounted on the valve covers. Follow the wires to the cylinder. These plug wires become somewhat frozen to the plugs from heat and have to be carefully removed, otherwise will break easily. A new wire set from Mercedes isn't cheap. There is actually a "special tool" to remove the plug wires from the plugs, but a heater hose plier works just as well. Remember to use a twisting motion to loosen the wire from the ceramic portion of the plug, prior to pulling forward. Also, a 5/8" sparkplug socket with an universsal joint on it helps aid in removing the plugs. Make sure you use Mercedes plugs or the ignition system can be damaged.
