rocking motion

originally, when applying the breaks the truck, 3/4 ton 1979 GMC 4 wheel drive, automatic transmission would start bouncing, rocking almost side to side, on an infrequent basis. Now, I have noticed that it feels this way more frequently and at times it can occur without even applying the breaks. It is still not on a constant basis.   When the truck hits a bump, the left front tire fees like it is slipping. I am assuming it is something in the front left tire but I have no idea what it is. My husband just died about 14 months ago and I am trying to take care of everything myself and I need help!!

Relist: I still need help.
My vehicle started bouncing/rocking side to side/wobbling infrequently when I applied the breaks. This has never been on a constant basis but it is now doing this action, even if I don't apply the breaks, just driving at higher (45+ miles/hour) speeds.

If feels like it is learching/hesitating also, not on breaking though (as if the vehicle is only getting spurts of fuel) . Also, if I am driving and drive across a speed bump, the left front tire feels mushy or perhaps like it is slipping.

I would appreciate any help I can get with this. My husband just died about 14 months ago and I need to get this taken care of myself. I am driving a 1979 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive GMC pickup Thank you
