i just got a 89 bmw 535i and it ran fine for 2 weeks and ...

i just got a 89 bmw 535i and it ran fine for 2 weeks and then it started to hesitate when cold, but once i let it warm up it ran fine, then the problem slowly got worse, it would hesitate for one seond and let up then go about 300rpm and hesitate real quick and let up again, it was very drivable. but still annoying so i replaced distributer cap and rotor they were very worn out, and the coil, but still had its problems and then yesterday it stopped on my way to work, it will crank but not turn over, please help i need to get to work on monday and i dont have much money.
