Hi, if it is just one window that does not work, it is more than likely the switch. If it is more then one window it could be the fuse or a wire. I just got done changing the switch on my Chevy 1500 van, the drive side front window would not roll up or down. I got the part at a salvage yard for 5.00 and it was very easy to change. I just removed the old one and pop the new one in. If you need anymore info please ask. Bridgette

this is on a 1989 cadillac deville 4 door
it has been very well taken care of and only has 78000 miles on it.

1st have you checked the fuse? If not the fuse have you checked for a loose wire in the the switch? If it is neither of these It is more then likely a bad switch. Please let me know if you need help with replacing the switch if that is what it turns out to be. Bridgette
