I have a 1970 Triumph Spitfire. I'm trying to convert the inconvenient ignition switch using a general/generic switch. The schematic for the original Triumph shows only 4 connections although the switch has 7 spade connections. The generic I bought has 4 (battery, ignition, accessory, and "st" starter?). I wired the generic switch using the wires as shown on schematic...but no ignition. What am I missing? Can you suggest a good alternative ignition switch to replace the original?

Tom
