HOW DO I RESET THE ANTI-THEFT ON MY 1999 FIREBIRD, IT WILL NOT START, I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY AND STARTER CHECKED, THERE OKAY, THEY SAY ITS THE ANTI-THEFT, IS THERE OPTION OTHER THAN TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP?

You can change the ignition lock cylinder yourself.If it's the security system that will solve the problem.You will need to go to the dealer parts dept for a new key and lock cylinder.Take your old key so they can get the code for you on the tester.If you don't have the key you will need proof of ownership and they can look up the code for you.
