where is the fuel filter on a 1999 mercedes benz ml 430 and do you have a graphics

The fuel filter is located (under the car) on the right rear of your car, in front of the rear tire. It is located under a protective shield that requires the removal of 4 sized 10 bolts. After removal of the shield, you will see a large beer can sized canister that is the fuel filter.

To replace
its simple, Open the gas tank first in order to release pressure in the fuel system , now you will need 2 open ended wrenches. I think they are a size 13. They both will need to be very close to each other seeing that the fuel filter connection and the fuel line connection are in close proximity. Well, put both open end wrenches on the connections, hold one still and turn the other connection that will free the fuel filter.

hello the fuel filter was not there,and it does not look like the picture you sent if you have a grahics that will be grate thank you.

OK then you have the up grade filter it is in the same please but it is longer and has one extra line out

yes have the up grade filter.So it's by the gas tank or in side the gas thank?

thank you for your help i replaced the fuel filter.but my problem did not go away. my car turns of when a step on the gas i wounder what it is if you know what it is let me know i will ACCEPT now thank you.

sounds like the plugs are fouling have you done a tune-up
like spark plugs cape and wires.
