So you have connected all the wires and you hear nothing?do the regular speaker have sounds?

Have you ever installed an amp before?

Can you explain how you have the system set up.

Reply to 32roadster's Post: i have removed factory radio, obtained a harness and an aerial adaptor to connect it to the existing loom, once connected the new unit gets power and operates but no sound out of any speakers.
i was told that the car is amped and the factory unit turned on the amp via a pulse signal, but i now need to connect the amp on wire to a 12 volt source on my new head unit, i have wiring diagrams from adhol but am struggling to locate amp on wire, i think the amp set up is chryslers infinity sound system

Hello - if you have the Infginity sytem it should say "infinity" on the factory radio or on a speaker grille (usually). From the aftermarket head there will be a blue "remote turn on lead" some units have a power antenna lead also - you need the turn on lead only. Connect this to the blue lead on the aftermarket adapter harness. This should be on the black plug on the end w/ the tab. (usually a white wire in the dash) If for some reason your deck doesnt have a turn on lead you can use the switched 12v lead (red) to turn on the amp(s) If the turn on wire is not present in the dash harness - then you dont have a factory amp, and the problem might be speakers. Let me know if you need more
