How do I replace a window switch for a 2002 Navigator ...

How do I replace a window switch for a 2002 Navigator on the driver side, is there any special tools or techniques to replace it.

 

Optional Information:
2002 Lincoln Navigfator 32 valve v8

Already Tried:
a screwdriver and it looked like it would not work

Yes use the screwdriver to lift on the front of the switch plate. The front has a spring clip on it to hold it in plce. Once the front is loose the rear will come right out.

Reply to autodoc_2000's Post: are you refering to the small triangle part of the switch plate or the wider end? do I use a large flathead screwdriver or will a small flathead one do?

The triangilar end and a small screwdriver will do. Put a cloth around the blade of the screwdiver to keep from scratching the trim.
