I have a '93 Jimmy, and the digital speed indicator

I have a '93 Jimmy, and the digital speed indicator just went out...all other readouts on the display are working fine - why?

If there is no light where the speed is supposed to be the cluster is bad.Replacing it or having yours sent to a service center is the only option.You may have to have yours sent out due to the year of the vehicle.

Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: There's no other way, huh? It couldn't be just a loose connection to the speed indicator part of the dispaly? Is this a known problem with Jimmys? ( I ask because the guy that sold me mine said he knew of another that had the same problem)...might this be a 'recall' type issue?

It's not a recall issue but I have changed a few for the same thing and it never was just a connection problem.All of the displays are powered by the same circuits in the cluster itself.The engine computer sends a signal to the cluster so it has a speed readout other than zero.
