1997 neon with P1492 code . Where is ambient air sensor and what does HI mean?

 

Optional Information:
1997 Dodge nein 2.0 sohc

Already Tried:
will not start. replaced PCM, crank sensor, cam sensor, map sensor, NOID light says no signal at injectors. Have spark now. Still showing P1492 code. Help.

That code is for the battery temp sensor reading too high.

There chould be a battery cover over the battery with a vent tube. If all that is still in tact, you probably have a bad sensor.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: I appreciate your patience as I'm just a guy trying to get his wife's car runnung again. Any ideas as to why we're getting fuel to injectors but the injectors won't energize. Do you need other info?

I didn't ask you about the PCM. I asked if you have power at one of the wires at each of the injecters when the key is in the "on"" position.

OK, we're getting some where.

Your having a problem with the ASD (Auto Shutdown) relay circuit. That is what powers the injecters.

First check it's power supply which is fuse #21, it's a 20A fuse.

If that is OK, then your going to have to go to the relay and make sure the power is getting there and then, that the relay is energizing and sending power back out on the Dk Green and orange wire.
