I have a '95 Villager. The battery, brake and ABS
Sent to Car Experts April 06 10:15 AM

I have a '95 Villager. The battery, brake and ABS lights all come on and stay on. When idle is below ~1100 rpm the lights are out. When rpms exceed ~1100rpms the brake and battery light comes on and the ABS comes on ~1500 rpms. They turn off as the rpms go below the rpm point they came on. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the alternator out put at this point? If not you need to check to see what the battery voltage is when these lights come on. You could have an alternator going bad. If you do not have access to a volt meter. Most Auto parts stores will check it for you for free.

Reply to autodoc_2000's Post: I checked the voltage while running and it is 16.9v. I will replace the regulator. If this does not resolve it do you have follow-up steps? Thanks

16.9 volts is to high. You should only have 14.? volts during runnning. The overvoltage could be spiking your electronics causing the strange occurances. I hope the higher than usual voltage has not damaged modules. Apparantly you are having voltage regulator problems.
