After my OBD2 DTC hook-up showed a mis-fire in cylinder 3, I replaced all my plugs. But, my check engine still stays on. However, my F-150 runs better, but my idle is still running a little rough. I have replaced all my spark plug wires also. Since it is a 1997 with about 150,000 miles on it, do you think it is worth keeping it, considering what the shop may find with these systoms, and also you think you might know what the problem may be?

Optional Information:
1997 Ford F-150 4.2, 6 cylinder

Already Tried:
Changed plugs, and wires, checked all fluid levels and belts.

They do have some problems with the coils on those allso but having the injecters pressure cleand may be a good idea, even if just for maintanence.

Don't waste your money with anything added to the tank. Just use a system that the engine solely runs on the chemical while the fuel pump is disabled.

It's pretty easy on your vehicle. Just unplug the Inertia switch under the dash on the passenger side of the truck.

I didn't expect you to try this yourself. The equipment to do this costs hundreds of dollars. Most shops will do the whole process for around $100, including the chemical.
