I just had my cylinder heads checked for cracks and warpage. The machine shop said there were no cracks and milled 5 thousands for warpage. We put it all back together, with the new head gasket set, started it up and we have a ton of white smoke pouring out of the tail pipe. I know white smoke means antifreeze in the cylinders, but my question is how is this possible?! I am hoping the people who milled the heads did not screw me over. Are there any other possible causes for the white exhaust smoke, other than a cracked head or blown head gasket?

Reply to Jacob's Post: Hi Jacob,
Thankyou for responding. It is a Chevy Venture. I figured it out. After I got everything put back together and started it, there was the white smoke. I assumed it was from whatever residue and water was left in the block from when the head gasket had first blown. I was just surprised when it did not clear up quickly. That actually was the problem, but it took 30 minutes of idle time and about a 5 mile trip to clear it all out. Thankyou for your time anyway!
