i have a visonik amp with 1800 watts, its the 900xd

i have a visonik amp with 1800 watts, its the 900xd mono type. well anyways the amp is giving me problems. all connections are made, amp turns on for a split second and a red light lights up right next to the green power light, its labeled (prot). the same connection pushed that amp for around 2 years, so it have worked before but i was just wondering if that problem would be and easy fix or that amp did it's time.. thanks for your time. troy

Already Tried:
i tried rewiring it many of times checking all wires if it was open or to ground. i opened the amp but i am not familiar on where the current flows. i just wanted to know if it can be fixed..
