i have a 95 pontiac grand am se with a quad 4 its a 2.3 dual overhead cam 16 valve jobber i had it at a garage cause the temp gauge shows it is overheating and when i shut the heater off i can smell anti freeze i changed the sending unit and it still does it the garage i had it at said i should change it so i did what could be wrong with it

Already Tried:
i put a new sending unit in for the temp cause a garage told me i should try that but the gauge still shows it is overheating and when i shut the heat off i smell antifreeze
