2001 grand caravan 3.8 L w/ 41te transmission.

2001 grand caravan 3.3 Lw/ 41te transmission. Trans wont shift from 2nd to 3rd (not all the time) but after a longer trip. stop and turn off engine, restart , then it will work for a while. engine light is on. dtc# po605po700.Optional Information: 2001 Dodge grand caravan 3.3LAlready Tried: read dtc

You'll need to take this to the pros.The P0700 is a code to let the tecnician know that there are codes stored in the TCM (trans control module)The p0605 is an internal computer fault in the ROM (Read only memory)chip.That may only require what is called a flash update to fix.At any rate it's not something you will be able to handle at home as it requires special tools and equipment to diagnose.
