I have 1999 Ford Taurus. It's about 82,000 miles and I bought the car at 74,000 miles. I have had numerous problems with this car and I really have no where to turn or what to do now. The day I bought the car, I had to get the fuel pump replaced. That was done prior to me leaving the lot. A month later, I had the transmission pan replaced due to my friend borrowing the car and had a small accident. After that my service engine light came on and it was the camshaft sensor error. I brought the vehicle back to to the dealership and they replaced my spark plugs. A few weeks later, the service engine light came back on and I had the head gasket replaced. The next day, the service light came on again. I went to Autozone and they said it was the camshaft. The dealership is not finding the problem. Throughout all this, I have been having problems with my coolant. I would have to put coolant in at least once every week. I have informed them of this and they said this problem would be fixed once the head gasket was replaced. It's still a problem. I would drive the vehicle and when I need to put more coolant in is when the temperature gets cold with the heat on and the temperature needle would rise to the H. This has been a problem since I purchased the vehicle. Can I return the vehicle back to the dealership and demand for a different car? Can I do that? I've only had this car 6 months. I still have warranty (8,000 miles left), but I'm just afraid that once my warranty runs out, there will be bigger problems. What are my options???? Thank you very much!!!!

Relist: I still need help.
I don't need the head gasket replaced again. I'm having problems with my coolant. I brought the car back and they said it is leaking coolant, but don't know where yet. I have another appointment to bring it back in so they can have more time to look at it. Also, I went to Autozone because my service light was on and they said it was the camshaft sensor. The dealership told me it was nothing to worry about and it was just the sensor. Should I not worry about that? The service light has come on 4 times already and each time they would just turn the sensor off. My car is also making this knocking noise while the car is running. They said due to me not having the head gasket replaced earlier, that would be why. They can't get rid of the noise. People have told me, this would eventually ruin the engine/motor and it will cost me more on gas. Which it does, my gas goes down pretty fast. Can I just go back to the dealership and trade in this vehicle? Thank you....
