Why won't my '92 DeVille's trunk suck shut?

It latches, but will not suck shut. Noticed the right rear turn signal does not work either. Not sure if it happend simultaneously. Checked the fuses, but none appear to be bad.
Need help ASAP.

Already Tried:
Taking it to a garage tomorrow. Want to make sure they fix it the least expensive & most effecient way.
