Has there been any repair done to this vehicle recently and has it lost any fluid ever. The reason I say this is there may be some air in the master which would cause an air locked system and would result in a very hard pedal with no response in braking. This can also be caused by different malfuntctions in a power braking system, which I believe you have, this will have a vacume booster. If there is a problem in the booster it may not spool enought to allow the power piston to push into the master.
