Would a tranmission be affected by an engine being rebuilt? I have a mitsubishi galante 1996 4door s class. I just want to be sure the mechanic is not trying to take advantage of me becsause I am a female. I paid him $1900 to rebuild my engine using used parts plus he replaced hoses, belts and the radiator. The transmission was in fair condition before the engine blew and since the engine repair, I'm being told the transmission needs to replaced. Please respond to urhyness_@hotmail.com.
