I charged my ford explorer sport 97' and now my radio ...

I charged my ford explorer sport 97' and now my radio wont work... i checked the fuses and they were good, checked the wires and they had power so i got a new radio for it and it still doesnt work... what should i try now??

What was wrong with the old radio?Is this an upgrade or are you installing the same type?
