Tercel diagnostic code 25 and 26
Sent to Car Experts July 30 08:11 PM

The "Check Engine" light on the panel was on (Toyota Tercel 1990), after connecting E1 and T terminals in the diagnostic box, I got the blinking "check engine" code 25 and 26 which were fuel metering device "lean" and "rich" respectively. What’s wrong? How could the fuel/air ratio be both lean and rich? Thanks for any advice.

Try disconnecting the battery for ten (10) min. and restart engine to see if the codes reappear. If they do it is most likley and O2 sensor problem.
