Idle air control underspeed error
Sent to Car Experts February 19 11:36 AM

F-150 ford 4.6w engine with an error report Idle air control underspeed error.
What is this and what part is it that needs replacing.
Also there is a second code P1507 pd. the "pd" means pending. Which means nothing to me but maybe you can determine what it is. What I done before all this happen was replaced my old air filter with a new K&B and this stuff started to happen.
It runs good at a high speed, just on the low side. I have a knock in the engine on the passenger side that sounds bad, however, I believe the computer has retarded the engine. This also could generate the error code and once that is cleared it may generate a new one. What do I do.........?

Optional Information:
1997 Ford f-150 4.6w

Already Tried:
looking for what could be the problem. Purchased an OBD II to see what the code determination. Replaced the old air filter, disconnected the battery and reconnected.

Thanks for the question.

There is a possibility that the IAc is at fault. I would check the wiring around the K&N filter area. I've seen in the past the filter rubbing through the wires and grounding them out.

Here's a pic of the IAC valve:

It might just be a bad IAC solenoid.

Thanks

still got what seems like a miss on the passenger side of the engine. Can't generate a check engine light to get a code. I have pulled the plugs and got fire on each but there is still a miss. When coming to a complete stop it stills has a little trouble getting itself back. Any suggestions
