yes and no the TEMPERATURE SENSOR controls the radiator fan it tells the CPU that the engine is hot and to turn on the fan and as long as the thermostat is working right this will cool the coolant.. if you have an electoral cooling fan the TEMPERATURE SENSOR is
UNDER HOOD, CENTER, UPPER ENGINE AREA,REAR OF WATER
OUTLET, MOUNTED IN INTAKE MANIFOLD
if you have a mechanical fan that runs of the water pump if this is not turning the water pump is bad/stalled
