What would cause the radiator fan on a 1992 Firebird to not turn? Is this part of the computer module? Water pump??
The car was overheating-I flushed the radiator and was going to install a new thermostat when I noticed the fan was not turning.......

hi thank you for the question hope this helps

yes and no the TEMPERATURE SENSOR controls the radiator fan it tells the CPU that the engine is hot and to turn on the fan and as long as the thermostat is working right this will cool the coolant.. if you have an electoral cooling fan the TEMPERATURE SENSOR is

UNDER HOOD, CENTER, UPPER ENGINE AREA,REAR OF WATER
OUTLET, MOUNTED IN INTAKE MANIFOLD

if you have a mechanical fan that runs of the water pump if this is not turning the water pump is bad/stalled
