I have a 1999 F250 Super Duty Super Cab with electric door lock that won't lock or unlock. I can hear noise coming from the locks when I push the controls and the lock knobs will move a little but will not lock or unlock. First the driver's side quit and then a couple of months later the passenger side went. What could the problem be, the soelinoid or the locks mechanisms themselves?

thanks for your question.

Yes, the door lock actuators are the problem. I believe they are around $70-75 a piece. They attach right to the door latch inside the door. You will have to remove the door panels and patially remove the door latch to install them.

Thanks
