THE OUTER AND INNER SIMPLY SCREW TOGETHER. YOU SHOULD HAVE COUNTED THE THREADS ON THE OLD ONE BEFORE DISASSEMBLING IT SO YOU CAN PUT THE NEW ONE ON THE SAME. NOT DOING THIS WILL AFFECT ALIGNMENT. WE INSTALL THEM LIKE THIS AND THEN SEND THEM TO THE LASER RACK FOR A TOE ALIGNMENT.

Reply to Bill W.'s Post: That is a simple answer that i knew already .The question is, The inner rode is enclosed inside something like a rubber ball and i can't feel the end of the inside where it should screw together. Do you have a drawing that show the schematic?

PUSH THE RUBBER BOOT BACK AS FAR AS YOU CAN. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BALL THERE ARE 2 FLAT SPOTS. IF YOU CAN YOU MAY PUT A WRENCH ON AND IT TURNS OFF. IF YOU CANT GET AT IT WITH A WRENCH, THEY SELL OR RENT AN INNER TIE ROD TOOL THAT LOOKS LIKE A PIECE OF PIPE THAT YOU SLIDE OVER THE BALL . IT'S ACTUALLY A BIG SOCKET TOU PUT A RACHET ON. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THIS TOOL. AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE , IN MY AREA, RENTS THESE TOOLS.
