I have two Ford Escort transmissions ,the bad one ...

I have two Ford Escort transmissions ,the bad one from my 98 escort with duel over head cam, and one that I got from anouther 98 escort with single overhead cam. The only difference appears to be a couple of out of place holes on the bolt pattern on the bellhousing side of the transaxle .Can I swap the proper bellhousing on to the good trans?

Thanks for the question. There is a lot more to it then just switching bell housings. There are selective shims that you would have to measure out. This is pretty hard to do.

So I would say no. My suggestion.
