what is the 2nd hose coming out of the coolant tank on my 2002 dodge stratus?

Already Tried:
added antifreeze and found first black hose running to radiation, the 2nd black hose on the left side is unattached and cant find a place to attach in to. am single mom checking out 16 yr old daughters car for maintenance

The second hose is an overflow hose ,its supposed to be there and usually sticks down through a hole in the fender. Hope this helps. Please click accept for me. ThanksImages available only to Customers.
