i just bought a 1991 ford thunder bird and when i turn the engine off i hear a motor and it is coming from the master cylinder which is draining the battery could it be fuses or do i need to replace the master cylinder

Ok, you're probably going to have to got to a good shop or dealer and they need to run tests to try to get fault codes from the abs system. 2 things I usually see on these is the pressure warning switch, or the abs pump relay sticking closed. So I would suggest really trying to get codes out first, the codes should direct you to the right problem componet.
