I have a 1999 chevy venture. The rear tailgate unlocks but I can't get the door to open. The release handle does not open it. How can I get it open to get to the latching mechanism? Thank you for any assistance.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO POP OFF THE INTERIOR PANEL WITH THE DOOR SHUT ? THIS IS THE ACCESS TO THE LATCH AND LOCK MECANISM.
